DCHS Super Bowl Shufflers are in this issue of VYPE. Below is a link to the digital version of the Super Bowl issue.
Students from the Blue Academy, Liberty, Valley Mills and West Newton participated in the NFL Super Kids-Super Sharing Project to benefit children in greater Indianapolis. Students collected both new and gently used books, school supplies and sports equipment over the last few weeks. On January 19th they joined 15 other school districts at Martin University where they helped sort 33,000 items as part of this annual NFL program. Super Kids-Super Sharing has been implemented in the Super Bowl host community for the past 12 years and has placed tens of thousands of items in the hands of children in need. The students who represented their schools met Colts cheerleaders, Colts mascot Blue and various officials from the NFL and Super Bowl 2012 Host Committee.

Mrs. Hofer kicked off the morning with a motivational talk followed by inspirational video clips. Students used 21st century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. Activities for the day included students learning about themselves through a personal styles inventory, finding solutions through a variety of scenarios, and constructing a house of cards.
